Who attends?

Industry breakdown

AIDH conferences and events attract delegates from a range of industries and professions. The most common industries to attend our events are in government, technology, healthcare (hospitals), public health and academic research. Figure 1 provides an industry breakdown of attendees from our last national event in Sydney in October 2022 which attracted more than 1200 delegates.

Every other industry was at or below 3.5%, which includes primary care, public health, hospital (private), the federal government, imaging, associations, community healthcare, aged care, pathology, allied health and dental, specialist, pharmaceutical, insurance, legal, and consumers.

Profession breakdown

Due to our advocacy work and high standing within the sector, we find that many professionals that attend our events are high level senior executives (or the C-Suite) and government representatives. Our last Sydney Summit in October 2022 also had a high level of Academic/ Student visitation because of the partnership with the Digital Health CRC. We also had Highschool students give presentations on what they saw to be the future of healthcare. Figure 2 provides a professional breakdown of attendees from the October Sydney Summit.
